University of Wolverhampton ranked among top 13% worldwide

The University of Wolverhampton has been ranked among the top 13% of universities worldwide for international students in this year’s StudyAbroadAide rankings.

The University has gone up 462 places to 1052 having been ranked 1514 in the previous year.

The World University Rankings took into account both the percentage of the international student population and the institution's academic reputation. These two metrics were used to determine the scores of each institution, followed by the ranking process.

More than 8,000 universities from around the world were included in the standings, with this year’s rankings including universities from eight additional countries.

The University was also ranked in the top 18% of universities in Europe at 452.

Professor Gill Knight, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Leadership and Student Experience), said: “This outstanding improvement highlights the University's commitment to academic excellence and rising appeal to international students. This achievement is greatly beneficial to students looking for a high-quality institution abroad that caters to diverse communities and has proven global influence.

“It also comes off the back of this year’s Guardian University Guide where the University of Wolverhampton moved up 16 places from 101 to 85th.

“The rankings show the University is moving in the right direction and is testimony to the dedication and commitment of staff.”
