University of Wolverhampton Pop Music & Audio Technology students will be making waves at their end of year showcase event at Symphony Hall - and it's free!

The final year students will perform a diverse mix of styles and genres, in their end of degree showcase.   During the two-hour musical extravaganza, eleven diverse acts, including bands and solo artists, will be playing original music from their portfolios.

The venue is the Jennifer Blackwell Performance Space at Birmingham’s illustrious Symphony Hall.  The show has been planned and put together by the students themselves, with the support from the B:Music’s ‘B:Aspirational’ programme.

The event will take place on Tuesday 7 May at 6.30 pm in the Jennifer Blackwell Performance Space at Symphony Hall, Centenary Square, Birmingham, B1 2EA and has been organised by the students as part of their final industry module.

Their promotional poster was designed by a student on our Graphic Design course in offered by the Wolverhampton School of Art.

Mike Uwins, Senior Lecturer/Course Leader for Audio Technology & Production and Music Technology, said: "We have been working with B:Music, the charity which runs Symphony Hall, for some time – they have been amazing, offering us free tickets for students, work-experience placements and one of our graduates works there now as part of technical team - and now they have offered students this fantastic opportunity.

"It’s a free event and it would be great to get as many people there as possible to share our students' success story."
