The cost of international study depends on various factors, including your course, your study level, and where in the UK you're studying. According to Study UK, undergraduate tuition fees range from £11,400 - £38,000, with the average cost around £22,000. Postgraduate tuition fees range from £9,000 - £30,000, with the average cost around £17,109 per year. 

Humanities and social sciences degrees generally cost the least, while laboratory and clinical degree courses tend to be more expensive.

We offer a range of scholarships for international students, including scholarships for students from specific regions, students who've sought refuge in the UK, high-achieving students at undergraduate level, and more. How long you can stay in the UK will depend on the length of your course and what study you've already completed in the UK. If you're over 18 and are studying at degree level, then you can normally remain in the UK for up to five years; if your course is below degree level, you can normally stay for two years.

However, you may be able to:

  • extend your visa if you're eligible (for instance, to continue studying in the UK)
  • switch to a student visa from another visa if you're already in the UK
  • switch to a graduate visa to remain in the UK for at least two years after completion of your course
